Shipyard Golf Club Overview

Nestled in the heart of Hilton head Island, Shipyard Golf Club is home to 27 holes of championship golf and a welcoming atmosphere for players of all levels. A former host of the Hilton Head Senior International in 1982 and 1984, the club features three distinct nine-hole courses- Clipper, Brigantine, and Galleon - that can be combined for a variety of memorable 18-hole rounds.

Clipper Course

Designed in 1970 by George W. Cobb, is the most difficult and longest of the three. It is known for its challenging layouts featuring numerous sand and water hazards. Golfers will appreciate the strategic design and need for precision.

Brigantine Course

William C. Byrd designed and built the course in 1982. It offers a scenic and challenging round, encountering water hazards, slight dog legs and well placed bunkers, requiring accurate shots and a good short game. Its picturesque setting and unique layout make it a favorite for players looking for a memorable experience.

Galleon Course

In addition to the Clipper course, George W. Cobb also designed this course in 1970 and is one of the original holes at Shipyard Golf Club. You will find yourself winding through the large oaks and tall pines and surrounded by natural beauty. This course requires an accurate approach shots into heavily guarded greens.
