A quick day trip away from Hilton Head Island, Hunting Island State Park offers a wide variety of fun things to do with the family like fish, geocaching, biking, hiking, tour the lighthouse, etc. One of the best things to do when visiting Hunting Island is to swim in the Atlantic Ocean! There are over five miles of beach in the park along with a lighthouse and cabins for rent. There are no lifeguards on duty though and a strong current make this a stop for experienced swimmers only!
