If you are in search of a private beach feel, this is your beach! There is parking for this beach at the park, however, be prepared for a long walk down a trail to the water. There are public restrooms at this beach. During low-tide, this is a very wide beach - perfect for shelling or crabbing! Walk to the right and enter into Fish Haul Park, site of the Mitchelville Preservation Project. There, you can read the panels and see the outline of the Town of Mitchelville, the first town self-governed by contrabad slaves in 1862.
