With more than 350 tennis courts indoors and out, and all three Grand Slam surfaces, Hilton Head Island is ranked as one of the world's finest tennis destinations.  Tennis Magazine regularly placed four island resorts in their "Top 50" and declared Sea Pines as the "Top Tennis Resort in the U.S."; and Tennis Resorts On-Line has placed two resorts in the their "Top 20 Tennis Camps and Resorts". The award-winning resorts: Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club, Port Royal Racquet Club, Palmetto Dunes Racquet Club and Sea Pines Racquet Club are all within walking distance of many of our accommodations.

Every major tennis resort features a fully equipped pro-shop, daily clinics and private instruction and round robins during the season. Hilton Head Island is such a popular destination that entire teams join us to work on their strokes and strategy for their upcoming league season. The island has been host to many tennis tournaments over the years including The Family Circle Cup, and numreous  local, state, regional and national amateur events. Every March, Spring Break Tennis features colleges competing for coveted bragging rights. Many of these collegiate standouts have gone on to professional careers.

Hilton Head Island prides itself on its tennis and offers many fine facilities that are free and open to the public. Cordillo Courts on the south end off Pope Avenue and Chaplain Community Park mid-island are two of these facilities, both featuring lights for night play and both within biking distance of our rental accommodations..

Since our weather is so spectacular and conducive to playing outside all year round, the island's only covered courts are at Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club.
