Slightly north of the Shelter Cove area near to Port Royal Plantation (home to The Westin Resort Hilton Head Island) lie the Singleton and Burke’s Beach neighborhoods. Once principally known for its peaceful dirt roads, rambling collection of beach bungalows and a wide, sleepy expanse of beach, these neighborhoods have been transformed by a luxurious  resort development and spectacular multi-level beach homes.

Nearby, Chaplin Park supplies sheltered public picnic facilities, restrooms, soccer and baseball fields as well as basketball and tennis courts.
