Forest Beach, Singleton Beach & Burkes Beach and Folly Field  are all beach-oriented communities, each with its own unique personality.  Forest Beach was the first Hilton Head beach vacation area to be developed and is still loved for it's eclectic charm and active south end, beach-front scene. The Coligny Beach Park, the heart of Forest Beach, was totally renovated in 2009 and features fountains, shaded swings and relaxing chairs on a boardwalk -- perfect for people watching or enjoying the ocean breezes. The newer Singleton Beach/Burke's Beach area is in stark contrast. Located mid-Island, it's multi-level, multi-million dollar homes are packed from top to bottom with every convenience for the Hilton Head vacation rental market. Folly Field Beach Park was voted the island's best beach by locals.  Located mid-island near Port Royal Plantation, the Folly Field area features homes, vacation rentals and major resorts. Chaplin Community Park is nearby and offers tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds and sheltered picnic areas.
