Take the family to Shelter Cove Harbour for HarbourFest, a waterfront party that happens all summer with live music, entertainment, fabulous food, arts and crafts, activities and the special Fourth of July Fireworks display. Gaze at the breathtaking fireworks light up the harbor in sync with patriotic music performed by Shannon Tanner.
If you live or vacation in Sea Pines on the south end of Hilton Head Island, head over to Fourth of July at Harbour Town, a celebration with music, food, refreshments, children’s activities and a vibrant fireworks display from a barge on Calibogue Sound. If you don’t have a Sea Pines pass, there is a $5 gate fee to enter the resort.
The Skull Creek Fourth of July Celebration - the original Fourth of July fireworks show on Hilton Head – is a lively happening on the north end of the island. The fireworks are launched from a barge on the Intracoastal Waterway/Skull Creek and light up the night skies. You can watch the fireworks from the marina, docks or waterfront restaurants, like Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks, Chart House and Skull Creek Boathouse. Kick back, watch the fireworks and enjoy live music and amazing island food and drinks.
A perfect way to start your July 4th is by running the 28th Annual Hilton Head Island Firecracker 5000 - the oldest and largest race in Beaufort County and one of the top races in South Carolina. Held at Jarvis Creek Park, this 5k run and walk culminates with a fun pots-race celebration in the park with food, drink and music. The race starts at 8 am with a $30 - $35 entry fee for runners.
