Hilton Head Orchestra Performances - The Jazz Age

Start planning your visit to Hilton Head Island by securing your tickets to The Jazz Age on Sunday, January 19 or Monday, January 20, 2014. Conducted by the masterful John Morris Russell, you can treat your ears to a multi-layered experience that enriches the senses. For those who appreciate the genre, the alto sax and orchestra will make music that blends the baroque with the style of jazz.

Alto sax player Corey Dundee has been recognized on National Public Radio in the past and will bring a unique twist to the show. From this recognition on NPR's "From the Top" in 2009 to this upcoming performance of Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite, this will be one of 2014's first must-see events in the area. The show will come to a close with Gershwin's well-known and revered American in Paris for a high-energy finish.
After The Jazz Age, the orchestra will continue to delight audiences with sensational sounds and sophisticated instruments throughout the season, including a Youth Concerto Competition, an International Piano Competition, and so much more.

The Jazz Age performances are already generating a buzz in the local community, so you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to reserve tickets online for these concerts at First Presbyterian Church (located at 540 Wm. Hilton Parkway). Come experience cultural arts in the Low Country as the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra continues to represent the community as a richly-rooted local organization.
